Meet Dr. David Cohen

Dr. David M. Cohen was born in Chicago, Illinois.  He attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and following graduation he attended the University of Illinois dental school in Chicago, Illinois. After earning his D.D.S degree, Dr. Cohen completed a General Practice Residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois where he received extensive training in treating medically compromised patients and trauma victims.  He then completed his training in periodontics at Northwestern University receiving both his periodontal certification and Masters in Science.  Dr. Cohen then entered into private practice in 1994 in Crystal Lake, Illinois.

Dr. Cohen has devoted his professional career to all aspects of periodontal practice with special interests in regenerative periodontics, periodontal plastic surgery and dental implants.  To keep abreast of the latest developments in periodontics, he has always exceeded the continuing education requirements of the state of Illinois.

Dr. Cohen is a frequent lecturer on topics such as periodontal regenerative techniques utilizing both hard and soft tissue grafting, local delivery of chemotherapeutic agents, and prosthetically driven implant techniques and placement.   He also publishes a quarterly newsletter on current topics regarding periodontics and implants.
